8:13a - Canada: Join the Club
Canada has lifted the quota for baby seal hunting to a rate unheard of in a half-century.
According to The International Herald Tribune article quoted above, the Canadian government will allows the killing and skinning of 350,000 baby harp seals this year.
I thought this type of barbaric behavior went out with the early 20th Century.
I can think of a few Canadian government officials who deserve to be clubbed over the head.
