1:42p - News from the writing front!
A project I helped conceive and wrote will receive the Pewter Award in the Direct Mail Packages category in the 2006 Annual Gold Ink Awards Competition. The criteria for Gold Ink award-winning pieces included quality of printing, technical difficulty and overall visual effectives. The award will be announced in the special Gold Ink Issue of Print Media in October 2006.

1:48p - More news from the writing front!
In yet more award news, I just found out that four projects I wrote in the last year have been named as finalists in the annual Jasper Awards given by the Jersey Shore Public Relations and Advertising Association. Categories include Excellence in Writing; Direct Mail; News Release; and New Not-For-Profit/Government Website. The awards ceremony takes place in mid-September, at which time I will find out if the projects take home Gold or Silver Awards.
